Overseas License Holders
Overseas License Holders can drive in Victoria for up to 6 months if they have a valid driver’s licence from another country. After 6 months they must change over to a Victorian driver’s licence.
Some license holders need to sit the Victorian driving tests to convert their overseas licence. This depends on the age and what country the licence is from.
We recommend at least a three-lesson package and a pre-assessment for overseas license holders before they sit a practical test with VicRoads to make sure they are ready to perform according to the standard assessment criteria used by examiners.
