The Respected VicRoads requires that anyone at the age of 16 who wants a Driver’s License should read and understand the laws and road rules from Road Users Handbook and then pass a theory test to get their Learner’s license.
After getting your learner permit in Victoria at 16, you must practice driving with a fully licensed supervisor, log at least 120 hours (including 20-night hours), hold the permit for 12 months, and pass hazard perception and driving tests before upgrading to a probationary license at age 18.
